Seriously, if you listen to any advice from anyone, trust me when I say “give the customer what they want”, sounds straight forward right?

You would not believe the amount of people who start businesses and think what they want…This is a key term by the way as this is not about you…No, it’s about your customers and what they want.

Sorry if this sounds a little blunt but please stick with me…

How many times have you seen a business and mocked the business as perhaps you could do things better or you think they should do this or that to advertise their business better, well guess what…

That’s what your customers are saying about you each and everyday…And if they are not talking about you, why not? As perhaps they have never heard of you…Perhaps they didn’t know you existed in their town?

You Need To Think Like A Customer And Give Them What They Want

You need to understand your customers thinking and “searching behavior”. You have to walk in their shoes, and understand the dialogue the searcher is having with the web.

Most customers are researching or looking for a problem to solve or because they need a service. If you understand what problem they’re trying to solve (what keywords and phrases they enter) you can provide them with a very customized solution to what they are looking for (your landing page, website and ultimately your product).

Decide on which auto responder you wish to use and set them up. Auto responders are simply a way to keep in touch with your customers and prospects, it is mentioned in affiliate marketing circles that an average email list of around 10,000 people can be the equivalent of $1 per subscriber, that’s $10,000.00 per Month income if you have an active list and in the correct niche.

For reference, an autoresponder service is essentially an automated email service where you can load up emails and have them sent to your subscribers when ever you want.

At this point I should note that the dollar value of any list varies, it depends on your business model on if this is a marketing strategy you should use, it is extremely effective but it does cost money, if you have a small business it may not be viable to have an auto responder, if you are willing to put the work in or use a Monthly SEO service then this could be a great business model for you to use.

You Need To Do The Local Keyword Research

Brainstorm the core ones with a diverse group “spy” on your competititors’ using tools, use other keyword tools to expand the core list of targeted keywords that are related to your niche or service.

To point out that this can be diverse but for small businesses who specialize in a particular service the actual keywords can be pretty straight forward, especially as they will be more geographically orientated.

Build landing pages on your site for each conversation type

This is where you smoother your market by blasting your name across the Internet based around local searches. If you are a plumber in the state of Iowa then you need to be targeting folks who live in the places where you do business, Iowa is possibly to big to nail down fast so what you need to do is build a page / post around a town or community within the state.

For example you may have pages built around “reliable plumber ottumwa” or “fort dodge plumbers”, do you get the picture?

As an example for our UK readers, lets say you are a carpet cleaner and you live in London, well that could be a goldmine as there are so many areas you can cover within London which gives you a massive edge over your competitors.

You could gain traffic and phone calls from searches such as “carpet cleaners London” or “carpet cleaners bromley”, “lambeth carpet cleaners” or even “cheap carpet cleaners greenwich”.

Get Back links (Votes) To Your Website

You need to be creating multiple web 2.0 pages then bookmarking these pages so they get ranked by google, ideal if you link wheel all the web 2.0 properties together which will add a bigger rank blast back to your money site.

You can even create 100′s or even 1000′s of unique articles that link back towards your targeted link wheel set up. You can also create multiple video promos of your sites and blast them to all the popular video distribution sites, if you bookmark all the videos and blast back up articles linking back to them you should see your sites rise within the search engines.

Rinse and repeat this process every 90 days to google domination!
